Map of Life (MOL) is a new interactive portal for global biodiversity research. Data coverage and functionality will be greatly enhanced over the next months.

Thomas Lovejoy awarded Blue Planet Prize 2012 for lifetime achievement in conservation!

Tom Lovejoy is a Professor of Environmental Science and Policy at George Mason University, and a former member of the US DIVERSITAS National Committee. He received the award for pioneering work in biodiversity science and conservation, including how human-caused habitat fragmentation causes biodiversity loss.
