News Item Legion of Honour for Anne Larigauderie
Anne Larigauderie, Executive Director of DIVERSITAS, has been honoured by the French government for her work in international science. Anne was made Knight of the Legion of Honour during a ceremony at ICSU on Friday 25 June. The honour was conferred by Julia Marton-Lefèvre, Director General of the International Union for Conservation of Nature, on behalf of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research of France.

The Mountain Research Initiative will bring together a small number of experts on social-ecological research and coupled human-natural system modeling in mountain regions around the world to participate in a synthesis workshop, Building Resilience of Mountain Social-Ecological Systems to Global Change. Under the leadership of Julia Klein (Colorado State University) and Anne Nolin (Oregon State University), the workshop will take place in April or May 2012 in Fort Collins, Colorado.
