TWAS Fellowships for Postdoctoral Research and Advanced Training

Closing date: 1 October 2006

The Third World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) offers fellowships to young scientists to enable them to spend six to twelve months at a research institution in a developing country other than their own. The purpose of these fellowships is to enhance the research capacity of young promising scientists, especially those at the beginning of their research career, helping them to foster linkeages for further collaboration.
Eligible applicants for the fellowships are young scientists, who are citizens of a developing country, under the age of 40, who have recently earned (or are about to earn) a Ph.D. or equivalent degree, working in the area of natural sciences, and employed by a research institution in a developing country.
Preference will be given to young scientists based at institutions that lack adequate research facilities.
