Two Research Associates in Agricultural Economics

The International Maize and Wheat Improvement Centre (CIMMYT) India seeks two qualified candidates to serve as nationally recruited Research Associates in Agricultural economics for an one-year fixed term appointment. These positions are based in New Delhi, India, but include significant travel for field work in the Indo-Gangetic Plains.
The Research Associates are expected to have a relevant PhD and have a combination of good analytical, writing and field work skills. The associates will be primarily working on impact assessment of resource conserving technologies in the Indo-Gangetic Plains of South Asia. The associates will work as team members under the supervision of CIMMYT’s regional agricultural economist.
Their main tasks will be to assist in the implementation of field surveys and compile, analyze and rigorously document the primary data sets. Scientific rigor, initiative, ability to work independently and an active interest in enhancing the livelihoods of the rural poor through applied R&D are desired.
