Closing date: 31 March 2007

The Academy of Sciences for the Developing World (TWAS) is seeking nominations for the TWAS Prizes. TWAS prizes are aimed at recognising and rewarding the scientific work carried out by individual scientists who live and work in developing countries. Each year, prizes are given in eight different fields: agricultural sciences, biology, chemistry, earth sciences, engineering sciences, mathematics, medical sciences and physics.

Each prize carries a monetary award of US$10,000 and a plaque bearing a citation highlighting the major contributions for which the prize is awarded. For more information take a look at the website: http://www.twas.org/honor/twas_prizes.html or contact
