Nominations for Royal Society Pfizer Award 2007

This prestigious, international award, sponsored by Pfizer Ltd, is designed to reward scientists at the outset of their career and to promote science capacity building in the developing world. The 2007 award is open to any research scientist, working in the UK or Africa, making an innovative contribution to the biological sciences, including basic medical science, that has led to a sustainable positive impact on sub-Saharan Africa.Up to £60,000 will be awarded as a grant in order for the recipient to carry out a programme of activities that is linked to an African centre of scientific excellence, which would normally be a university, or equivalent research centre. The recipient will receive £5,000 as a prize.
