News Item SC-bioDISCOVERY meeting
The SC-bioDISCOVERY met April 10-11, 2013 in Paris. The SC members welcomed the opportunity to join Future Earth, and endorsed the transition of the project towards the end of 2014. The members expressed enthusiasm for bioDISCOVERY to become better integrated with the other GEC projects, and welcomed the opportunity to strengthen the observation, modelling and assessment core of the project.
News Item DIVERSITAS-bioDISCOVERY contributes to GBO-4
A consortium of DIVERSITAS, Université Paris-Sud XI, FFCUL, the PBL-Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency, the Fisheries Centre of the University of British Columbia and UNEP-WCMC have been selected by the CBD to prepare the scenario assessment for the upcoming Global Biodiversity Outlook (GBO-4). The scientists of the bioDISCOVERY network coordinating the scenario analysis for the CBD's Global Biodiversity Outlook 4 (GBO-4) met on April 8-9 for the second Lead Author meeting to discuss the programme of work.
