German National Committee for Future Earth (established April 2013)

The German National Committee on Global Change Research (NKGCF), an interdisciplinary committee linked to all global change programmes and launched by German Research Funding Agencies, has ended its activities and initiated the “German Committee Future Earth” (DKN-FutureEarth). The “German Committee Future Earth”, supported by the German Research Foundation (DFG),  will now serve as the successor committee to NKGCF and will act as a research advisory board and national partner on questions regarding international developments and activities within the framework of Future Earth.

DIVERSITAS Deutschland

DIVERSITAS Deutschland originated from a loose network of scientists in the areas of biodiversity. Since 2009 it is a formal association. Major goals are to strengthen biodiversity research by supporting innovative and interdisciplinary research agendas, increasing the dialogue with political and other stakeholders as well as supporting junior scientists. DIVERSITAS-D is supported by the Network-Forum on Biodiversity Research Germany (NeFo), a project funded by the Federal Ministry on Education and Research (BMBF).
